F. HUBENS / H. FOURNET / Le Fer Forgé, Lyon Art Deco lamp. Fine example of Art Deco pressed glass abstract design and hammered steel workmanship. Antique original France c 1930.
Pressed glass shade signed HUBENS in stunning abstract floral motifs in deep relief. Francis HUBENS was one of the great Art Deco lighting designers and producers. He worked closely with MULLER Freres who would manufacture pressed glass in his design which explains the superb effect when lit. For more important glass both MULLER Freres and HUBENS signatures are moulded in the glass. One very small ding shown in most pictures if you can find it; no other chips or cracks.
Hammered steel base is a well known model designed and fabricated by H. FOURNET at his Le Fer Forgé workshop in Lyon France (not signed). Base exemplifies quality and workmanship.
Furnished with new wiring and switch. Uses 220v B22 bulbs or 110v candelabra E12 bulbs.
