Pair of stunning Art Deco wall sconces to enhance a living or dining room. Exceptional stylish design in the bronze fixtures (39cm wide 16”) complemented by elegant crisp frosted white glass shades with striking geometric details. Vintage original France 1930s.
The 4 glass shades are signed DANYL 37. The moulding is crisp, the geometric details are sharp and the frosted white finish gives off a pure white look that stands out on the gilded fixtures. The DANYL signature is not found often on Art Deco lighting but their glass stands out for its bright white frosting. Some nicks around the socket hole are hidden by the socket cover, no other chips or cracks.
The gilded bronze fixtures not only have an exceptional design the casting is thick 3mm (1/8”) confirming their superb craftsmanship. Each is signed G.N. unfortunately I am not familiar with this signature, but based on the quality of the fixtures, they are important.
Furnished with new wiring OK for 220v or 110v
